Bag (won his first start in 1:08 4/5 I believe) Arazi (most mismanaged horse ever; would have gone down as an all-time great) Dehere, Event of the Year, King Glorious, Java Gold, Dinard (all horses that I felt would have been Derby winners if not forced to miss the race do to injury or illness)

Dehere went on to be a very good sire down here so im not suprised he was in the mix for the derby.

My biggest disappointment was Secretariat not running at four, understand the reasons but...oh, what might have been!

Candy Ride retiring after only one race in America. That was one monster performance in PC at Del Mar. Passed Megdalio D'Oro as if he was standing still.

Disappointing that Cigar was sterile.
I was terribly disappointed that Point Given was retired with a minor injury instead of giving it a go at 4. There are a lot of them that fall into that category, but I really thought PG was getting better as he matured.
