But he didnt win, so you still rip up the win ticket on Perfect Drift. Does it make you feel better if he was 100/1 or 1/1?
But I do agree, from a wagering perspective, I dont think it was a bad spot to step out and bet Perfect Hanger. Buzzards Bay might have been one of the worst 4/5 shots I have ever seen at any track with Valdivia breaking from the 1 hole, knowing that he had no shot to make the lead and he would have to actually run down a horse with some ability. Horrible, horrible bet.

Just another opinion. PD ran a great race. It looked to me that he was in full drive from the 3/8ths pole and was 4 or 5 wide thru the turn. He passed the pack in the stretch and put them in his wake. Maybe it was just better timing on Borel's part.
