Once again... no offense Pgard. BANDS! BANDS! BANDS! with female fronts. Not solo female artists. Otherwise let's just start throwing Madonna and Mariaiah and Janet and bla bla bla bla out there. BANDS with a FEMALE front is the topic here.

Where they act is considered a "BAND" not a solo artist

And "SOLO ARTIST" with a backing band does not count in my eyes either.

Enya writes her own stuff, she is her own band. She can play almost all the intruments but cant be in every spot, probably why she tours infrequently if at all.

The others did start out with their own bands, they play intruments unlike the Solo Artists you gave out. The artists you gave out are simply sex symbols with great voices that can dance. I think my women/bands are different.

But in all honesty, are we talking about artists or bands? They're two totally different things, and Alanis Morissette does not qualify as a "band." No solo artists qualifies as a band, because they are not a band but in fact, a solo artist.

I think that Catie Curtis and Deb Talan and Edie Carey and Anne Heaton are better than many listed in this thread, but they aren't bands -- so I didn't add them in because that wasn't what the thread was about.
