Gulfstream on Saturday featured the Holy Bull (who I saw win the Haskell in 1994) and provided us
with a spirited contest. There were 6 winning bets in 5 different races and for a change all payout slots were filled. Cal hit a small super but missed the board. Real Quiet gets the super spot with an exacta in the Holy Bull featuring Nearly but it wasn't nearly enough to improve my placing. Digger stays hot and finished 3rd by cashing his wager in the same race to “show” a nice $70 profit for his effort. Ruffian hit her wager early in race 2 and once again her return was well below the morning line prediction. Still the $11.60 win price was good enough for second place. This weeks Gulfstream winner was DonGuido who blitzed the field with two exacta's sweeping his bets to safely edge out the Roofian. His first exacta in race 6 paid $60 and he followed it up with a bigger one in race 7 worth a solid $139. Congrats on the win Don. Nicely played. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections. See you next week. WIN... DonGuido... +$99.00... Well well, whaddaya know, after a very long lay-off I managed to hit a couple of exactas. Nice and I just had to play the two from Ireland together in Race 7 . . . it's in me blood ya know.
