I always scan Steve's picks for the famous top line ALL CAPS picks
(not sure of the statistics behind those, but in my personal rolodex, they do VERY well).Didn't see any today, but I did take note of several top line double-digit bombs...including a 30-1 and 15-1.....hmmm....I will take those under advisement!!! ![]() |

Quote:
It's certainly not the event CD/NYRA put on but I actually think these cards are pretty intriguing from a handicapping/betting point of view....of course outside the Oxbow year I tend to not have much success at Pimlico...I'm going to tread lightly but take a few swings. I definitely think Clever Again is the right horse to take a shot against Journalism with. Not too sure on the price but I really liked that last effort...the fresh horse angle is pretty tried and true...not a big River Thames or Sandman fan so my thought it to try to keep them out under in the verticals, use Journalism defensively and try to get Pay Billy/Gosger into the number (will probably also use Goal Oriented somewhat defensively as I think he's the other main challenger if maybe Baffert was targeting this all along and probably has a ceiling as high/higher than any of these)... Good luck everyone. |
