The only objection I have is the difficulty in finding pps for some of these venues that we don't often play, but I may have to start purchasing them from Brisnet instead of using the free ones. I have new found riches now from AT&T. Found out that they have a substantial discount for military and ex-military. Kind of a nightmare dealing with AT&T, but maybe some good will come of it, if they actually follow through as promised.
I live in a deeply red state so I may be the only one in the whole state that actually watched the hearings. Merrick Garland is probably wondering about now " why is it, I thought I needed this job?" |

![]() ![]() How did RQ put it, I would need a dollar and a prayer or something like that. I think I would have to spend that dollar on winning the lottery to come anywhere near your total, but maybe that's what he meant? |

I rarely do well at the track, Lone Star Park is our home track. We take $50 to start and see if we can make it last through 4-5 races, sometimes yes, most often no. Nice failities but the horses are not of the highest tier. Asmussen used to run a lot of his horeses here before he became "Big Time" . . . havent seen him around much anymore.

I once had an opportunity to go to Lonestar Park, but turned down. I had to take my father-in-law to Dallas to see his lawyers. He was employed by a company that made aluminum here in Arkansas. Somehow as part of the manufacturing process he was exposed to asbestos therefore he had a claim against his former employer. I was elected to take him because he was afraid of driving in Dallas. Actually, he was afraid of driving in Little Rock which is probably only a tenth as big as Dallas.
As for Asmussen, he seems to go for the Stakes races nowadays and seems to have an entry or two for stakes offered at a lot of the smaller tracks like Zia and Sunland and others. |
