I was texting with my friend in Jersey and told him the same thing. Must have been a lot of unhappy people and maybe a handful of very happy people. I think the $1 superfecta payoff was over 300 grand. You know, I dismissed him like everybody else, but sometimes I look at those numbers that are supposed to indicate breeding and his were somewhat low. I looked at his pps again. Curlin is his grandsire, but his daddy is Keen Ice. Remember him? He's the one that beat American Pharoah.

Also so much for Monday post position draw giving an early advantage, eh? I didn't bother looking at field until Thursday, never do for Saturday races. "Early" draw did nothing for me, glad I didn't bother watching or paying any attention to it.

I think she knows that I was just joking with her. I think all that stuff she puts with her picks is just a reflection of an artistic personality and one that was excited and enthusiastic about the big show we were all about to experience.
Win or lose, it's always entertaining. In my opinion, the Derby and the Triple Crown never disappoints.
