Nice win JB and congrats to the rest of the toppers. If there's a not a no brainer for the next venue, I'll kiss a pig
or maybe my dog Emma. Assuming JB has weathered the Tropical Storm Henri that had it's eyeball on his home state of Connecticut, we'll hear from him soon. If not I may get a JB phone call if cell towers and phone lines are still working.

No need to worry Don, and no need to kiss any pigs. You might want to kiss Emma anyway, I have heard that she's quite adorable. We got through Henri without losing power even though we had lots and lots of rain in the process.
This weekend's venue is a no brainer for me [some would say that's what I do best]. The Travers card at Saratoga should be most enjoyable. I just wish I were going. Some of the fields might be a bit small - early announcements for the Ballston Spa and the Allen Jerkens suggest that - but the day will bring a lot of the stars out. Essential Quality will lead the Travers field but may face a stiff challenge from Dynamic One; Letruska and Swiss Skydiver in the Personal Ensign; the old pro Whitmore and Lexitonian will duke it out again in the Forego; Channel Maker should run in the Sword Dancer and Gamine ships east for the Ballerina. I'll wait until entries are drawn on Wednesday to make the post official. |

Yes JB, Patty and I would give our eye teeth to be there this weekend also, but wait I don't have many good teeth left
except those and implants are way to many $$$$$, oh well. It will be a day of great racing for sure. It's right up there with Derby weekend and the Breeders Cup to me.
