Certainly those "later" Grade 1s they are referring to have been won in previous years by horses that competed in the Preakness. One of those has a statue in the paddock at Saratoga...

The bonus would help but this is not surprising to me at all and it’s why I think the TC is getting easier to win than people realize. I think it’s odds-on that Concert Tour doesn’t run either.
