A non-buffoon could have named the horse OFERSINCEGIACOMO if the point was to poke fun at his handicapping skills. Even I would have chuckled at that.

And all the on-air talent at TVG gets flamed but I don't hear about or see (and I spent too long on the names database to see if I'm way off) horses named MUTE SCHRUPP, or MUTE MATT. Never mind names that would stab at their ethnic identities.

True on both observations. I would classify Rudolf as more of a "personality" than analyst which is the problem with TVG. Too many personalities and I would easily cut 50% of them. With so many knowledgeable people who could actually give good on-air advice what they do is a disservice to racing. Thankfully, there is a mute button.

Time for some new blood.
