There is an update on Bloodhorse. Its says opening to be determined. Which makes it sound like it's in limbo. Bloodhorse also has a listing of Stakes races coming up. The only stakes races listed are at Fonner Park, Oaklawn and Sunland.

Charles Town is definitely closed. Sunland also has been closed. Fonner Park has been racing, but not on Saturdays. Last week Fonner only ran on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

As far as I can determine, the only tracks that were open last Saturday were Gulfstream, Los Al, Oaklawn, Remington and Tampa Bay. That is pretty much the maximum we can expect for this coming Saturday.

Well, I might be wrong, but I think that both Los Al and Remington are racing quarter horses and I was surprised to see Sunland on that list of stakes races on Bloodhorse. Sunland website doesn't indicate that they are racing. Must just be an error on Bloodhorse's part.

Cal, you're dead on about quarter horses at both Los Al and Remington.

With all of the cancellations, the Stakes Calendar at Bloodhorse is no longer reliable - it continues to list races from a number of tracks that were originally scheduled but have been cancelled.

Right. So the only stakes races are I think the Apple Blossom for F&M which is a route and I think The Count Fleet for the boys at 6 Furlongs.

These days the best racing in the country by far is in your neck of the woods. I just wish they weren't so incredibly difficult to figure out.

Hmmm, we have played quarter horse races before but with some shagrin. I happen to like them.
