I imagine that we will continue to discuss things although there may be those that think some of us, that will go unnamed might be a little too loquacious. I am of course talking about myself here. Don't know why I tend to go overboard with my opinions on here. Maybe it's because I live alone and don't have much contact with others of the human kind or maybe it's simply that regular face to face conversation moves too quickly for me to keep up and with the internet I have more opportunity to organize my thoughts. If you met me in person, you probably would think me very reticent. Even though I want to continue to talk here about whatever the subject is, my fervent wish is that none of us or our loved ones will succumb to this virus.

As for racing shutting down, I have been thinking about that all morning and whether it is realistic to think that Oaklawn and other venues will be able to continue on in the face of this virus. The virus has proceeded here a little slower than other places, but sounds to me like it might be peaking about the time proposed for the Arkansas Derby. Hope I am wrong about that or on second thought maybe that would be good. Not that I want to miss the Derby, but hopefully, that might mean that our long nightmare is coming to an end?

Hey Ruff, as obtuse as you are in a friendly, kindly, quirky way you are much easier to understand than the man sitting in the Oval office . That's as political as I will get here. Some who are friends of mine on FB I'm sure are tired of me defending the sanity of most intelligent people re: the national leadership we don't have.

There are plenty of good things about FB, but it has a dark side too. You are brave to discuss politics on FB. I pretty much avoid the site because of the conspiracy theories or links to whatever propaganda is being peddled. Political discussions, if you want to call them that, usually devolve into insults or being asked to leave the country. I think it was better before the internet when we all didn't know just how crazy our friends and neighbors are and they didn't know the same about us. There really is no changing hearts and minds through logic. We all have chosen sides and it's pretty much impossible to talk us out of wherever we have come down.
