Proposed Venue for December 28

Let's go to Santa Anita on Saturday for their delayed opening day. We will be playing only Races 1 through 10, which will include 7 stakes races. I only hope that there are no scratches in Race 9, the Malibu, since there are only 5 runners entered to begin with.

Post time will be 11:00 AM Pacific, which translates to 2:00 PM Eastern or 1:00 PM Central. I'll set the threads up no later than Friday morning.

Saturday will also be the beginning of the Santa Anita Showvivor contest, one of the better free online handicapping contests. If you haven't competed in it before, it is worth a try - there are a number of different categories in which you can win cash prizes, and unlike other survivor type contests, no one really gets eliminated. If your show streak gets broken, you just start all over again. Here's a link to the contest site:

Looks like bad weather on the west coast. Maybe it will pass by post time.

I sure hope that it does. They have already postponed Opening Day once; it would be a real shame to have to do it again.

From what I can tell from the weather map, the recent storm has moved Easterly and the LA area should have sunny weather today and Saturday, with temps in the 60s. Here's hoping.
