Golden Gate Fields R9
3 Indian Zip 6 Hold Me Close 12 One Salty Dog Looks like that fresh, salt air off the bay did us some good! Ok, the short fields helped "up" the point scores but I like the salt air angle better. ![]() JolyB glides in to take the win this week! cal828 lands a strong second. RUFFIAN-333 is no slouch in third. DonGuido nicely rounds out the super. 1 JolyB XXC 1 147 2 cal828 BXX 3 142 3 RUFFIAN-333 BXX 3 139 4 DonGuido-DC XCX 2 126 9 Real Quiet BXX 3 120 9 Plenilune AXX 10 99 9 cruzan200246 XXX 0 78 9 Roamin42 XAX 2 76 9 ElPrado BXX 3 49 |

Plen, I like your explanation of the fresh, salt air helping our handicapping. Like you, I think that other factors might also have contributed, but why let logic get in the way of a really good story. ![]() Next Saturday, let's test that theory by staying close to some fresh, salt air, only this time, we'll rely on the fresh, salt air blowing off of the Atlantic Ocean onto Hallandale Beach in Florida. |

I must admit I wasn't all that crazy about playing Golden Gate which probably derives from past experience playing back in the day when Russell Baze dominated there, but it's good to see that a person can win probably just about anywhere, which I think that RQ's report on ROI will confirm. I used to hate it on visits to Vegas when I was there on a Monday or a Tuesday because the only tracks available to play would be Golden Gate and Turf Paradise and Parx, but really I think that you can win in those places too with the right strategy.

Wow!!! Big scores for a change . . . interesting.
![]() I'm sure the short fields helped and JB shows us how to do it again. Nice going JB and congrats to the rest of the top 4.
