I can't tell you how close I was to throwing $25 bucks at Discreet Lover to win . . . but my "methodical and calculating" horse brain took over my "wild and wooley" horse brain and said "what are nuts". And sometimes you need to be nuts in the game to hit a nice payoff.

Well, if you missed that opportunity, I just noticed you can make it up and more with a future bet on Discreet Lover in the BC Classic Future Wager. D.L. is currently sitting at a generous 84-1 in that pool. Amazingly, the early money had driven McKinzie down to only 2-1.
