Sandra Bernhardt (Off Broadway in her "Without You I'm Nothing") 7. George Carlin (At Oakwood in the Round in the '70's) 8. Ray Romano (At Comedyworks in Montreal before "Everybody Loved Him") 9. Mark Maron (Short Attention Span Theater host at Comedyworks in Montreal) 10. Harlan Williams (Before he got big at Comedyworks in Montreal)

Not many people remember Bill Hicks, who died of cancer in 1994. You can find many of his bits and interviews on youtube. This guy was incredibly cutting edge, and the topics he talks about 15 years ago are even more relavent today.
