My suggestion is that nobody anywhere should ever be DQ'd before 3:00PM in the East. That gives everybody across the country a chance to get their picks in by noon local time on Saturday.

Of course, nobody can pick a race already run at any time but.....this Contest is not a situation where we are locking the gates every week due to maximum capacity limitations!

Agreed NJS. The rules have been relaxed a lot in the ROI portion. Unless a mob forms with torches and pitchforks I will not issue a DQ when a wager is within reason. It doesn't mean players should post 2 hours after the races start but a little leeway should be granted. In the words of George Bush the Call To Post is a kinder, gentler nation.

Hey, I yield to the contest stewards as well. They've certainly earned the right to make reasonable allowances as long as we keep them consistent unless anyone takes exception. Me . . . I'm merely the overpaid scribe!!!
