I miss those horses. A lot better than what we have seen here on turf recently.

No argument from me. They were certainly no worse than English Channel and Cacique.

I miss good horses like Star of Cozzene.

Are you impressed at all with Showing Up? (excuse my stupid questions, I didn't follow racing when the horses mentioned above raced)

I know I am. I think at age four he has a chance to be truly special. His last two races this year were just awesome. I wasn't sold completely until the last two races, but now I am. Hes the goods.

Gander which do you think was a bigger feat? Terry stopping Paradise Creek's great run or Seattleallstar snapping Cambiocorsa's incredible win streak?

Cambiorsca for sure. Because she wasnt facing all that great competition that day and still lost, never threatening to be a winner. Paradise Creek was at least facing the best and ran respectable.

He's pretty good. We'll find out more next year. I hear Barclay is pointing him for Cheltingham. He wants to go MUCH longer......don't ya know.

Tagg is sort of silly in that every horse he has he says " he/she wants to go long "...other than that I think he's as good a trainer as there is. Honestly, I don't care what anyone says, the job he did with Funny Cide was masterful. His personality prevented him from being hailed as a training genius.

I heard, from a reliable source unlike the board liars that formerly posted here, that Showing Up won't return to the dirt because of soundness issues. Makes sense especially in light of what happened at Hollywood.

Mike- Paradise Creek's only really bad race was when Terry threw down 2 grand to win on him. I was there that day. It wasnt pretty. The veins in his head were popping and he was sweating like a marathoner. He then asked me to borrow a grand for the next race.
