EB....I probably saw AI play 25-35 games in high school...he was unreal back then. I first saw him on the playgrounds in like 8th grade....ran circles around everyone...

That was very brave of "Mello" to throw that sucker punch. Bravo, another geat day for the NBA. What a bunch of thugs. What a horrible league.

An incredible talent that has no clue how to involve his teammates. Gives the defense a huge rest, watch Allen run, watch the others stand around. He has no idea how to space himself to free up teammates, and has never set a pick in his life. But he is one of the best scorers I have ever seen. He will NEVER win an NBA championship. He has never made another player on his team better. Oh we heard it before, him and Webber will win a championship. Ya cant do it by yourself.

Nash
A healthy Jason Kidd...

Ill take these guys every time over Allen me, myself, and I verson. Thank you Charles Barkley.

Some of what you say has some truth but I question a few things. He has not really had any teammates that were worth freeing up. At his size I dont want him setting picks, he is a very good off the ball defender, can break down anyone off the dribble and is a streaky shooter. Put Nash or Kidd who is slipping on the 76ers and they still stink. He will never win a championship by himself but who has? I dont buy that crap that a team with him cant win the championship. The nuggets as presently composed may not be able to but if you put him on a team with a solid supporting cast he can fill a role. Webber has been done for 5 years.

One thing you can't take from him is his heart. I can say I still see the same heart, desire and passion since I started watching him play organized ball in high school.

No doubt. But listen to this from San Antonio's Bruce Bowen concerning practice and the Spurs having 3 days off... finally... 3 days off so they can...

gives us a chance to practice instead of just walk-throughs and video study. Its good to get back to the basics. Coaches can stop the practice at certain times and teach more. It is very important to take care of the little things. So we got at least 2 full days of good practice.

Popovich asked on picking up Iverson: We will pass ya think?

Go back and listen to that U-tube. And Canon... ya think the Spurs take a peek at Iverson? Ya think any real contenders want him... Listen to the U-tube and think about it. Iverson plays a different game. It is an incredible game, but it is not a game to be played with refs and defense. Iverson leads the league in steals some years and plays some of the worst defense I have ever seen. He gambles, its do or die.

Ya think Allen wants to learn a system?
John Stockton set some of the most vicious picks I have ever seen. Not much bigger than Iverson and played as long as any guard in the league.

Again I love his effort. But it is so misplaced. Ya think Riley, Jackson really thought about taking him... seriously. No way. The best coaches want nothing to do with him.

A major factor in sports nowwdays is the salary cap and its effects on the makeup of teams. He makes so much that it is hard to trade that contract. I can understand what you are saying and I understand why a team like the Spurs would pass as they are firing on all cylinders and dont need to disrupt their roster. I bet that Riley would have taken him if he could. Hell he took JWill!
I may be wrong but I think the guy can fit in somewhere and contribute in a positive way. He is a prima dona for sure but so are a lot of other guys. He has unique talents and is a tough matchup. I am looking forward to seeing him play with the Nuggets full roster. Theyare a flawed team but very interesting.
BTW - I went to Hornets/Mavs game sat. was VERY impressed with Chris Paul. I had never seen him in person before. Great court vision, good range, great first step, gambling defender, played whole game with out looking winded or tired. Completely dominated. Hornets are a bad team without Peja, West and Bobby Jackson. Desmond Mason stinks. Tyson Chandler plays as though he has absolutly no clue what is going on. He did a good job on Dirk in the 1st half but was totally ineffective on O and Dirk ate Marc Jackson for lunch.

Chris Paul may be the 2nd best PG in the league. I love that guy. Only in his second year. I would trade Tony Parker for him in a NY minute. Of course the Hornets would never take it.
