From what I understand the few that did correspond with him have stated that he was going in for surgery in September, but no one has heard from him since.

I do not think the obituary is his, because I don't think he was 83 as it states in it.

Michael (McClem) from here and another poster on another site conversed with him from time to time, and both have asked me if I have heard from him because they know we were friends as well.
