The top 5 finishers were separated by less than a length. He certainly wasn't going to win. It is pretty precise to say that it cost him a placing.

Meanwhile Star Hill gets herded off the screen of the head on replay in the 7th (literally) and they don't even peek at it.

Just seemed very innocuous in a race where they all seemed bunched.

Ed.. I ran to Rusty Arnold and told him to object. He said he needed to talk to Lanerie, but by the time he did, it had gone official. I thought it was totally obvious.

Star Hill is OK. He will win a big race at some point.

Sure seemed obvious to me as well. The head on replay is actually comical as Star Hill goes off the screen.

I also noted that sometimes on these big days it takes races several minutes to go "official" and as I waited for the Inquiry to go up...Bang! "official".

Horses still galloping out.

That animal deserves better and will get it one of these days.

And you deserve better but I am absolutely convinced you will pull down a huge tourney shortly. Told Luke Peltz that I thought you would at Monmouth. If you had gotten the correct call and won a big one a week later I'd look like a genius.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. Encouraging thoughts are certainly helpful. Over time, these things will apparently even out....

You certainly don't need ME to make you look like a genius.

Nice you caught up with our boy Luke.
