They ran that horse in the GROUND is an understatement.

Remember when they wheeled LOTG back in that optional claimer turf route. Horse won by a nose, itw as the most worthless race possible, THEN he puts him in a Grade 2 and wins. Tomillo is the luckiest SOB with that horse. You give that horse to Scherer, Van Deren, Springer, Williamson, Yanez and they win the BC Classic with him (two years ago, not this years)

I love my Chicago horses, what can I say?

And on that note, Courthouse is in on Saturday at Hawthorne. Still love that guy too.

Isn't he down to the 5k level now? I think Gorham was playing some games with that horse

He went down real low for awhile -- I want to say somewhere in the 4-5K range.

Now he's not with Gorham anymore and he's in for 14K on Saturday.

I love the horse, but could never get a read on him. One time he's sucking up for second at 70-1 behind Suave, then he's up the track against NW3X types, then he's running third in the NJC Handicap (eventually getting DQ'ed).

He's not what he used to be, and he never used to be much -- but I still like him.

Well, if memory serves, he was a multiple graded stakes winner (couple of Grade 3's at Oaklawn?) -- which is more than we can say for some horses standing at stud for much more right now.
