WASHINGTON (AP) -- Iran was holding 10 U.S. Navy sailors and their two small Navy boats after the boats had mechanical problems and drifted into Iranian waters, but American officials have received assurances from Tehran that they will be returned safely and promptly.

President Obama expressed disappointment in the mullahs' actions of late, you know, the launching of ballistic missiles and calling for the destruction of Israel, that sort of stuff. He declared in last Friday's presser that they are inconsistent with "the spirit of the agreement," the JCPOA (which Iran never signed).
SHOT Iran responds: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi blasted US President Barack Obama for his remarks against Tehran’s implementation of the nuclear deal, and said he is raising excessive demands. “We studied the details of the nuclear agreement and didn’t see anything but its text and don’t have any information about its spirit,” Firouzabadi said, addressing the Chief of Staff’s commanders and officials in Tehran on Tuesday, following the US president’s call on Tehran to work on the spirit of the July nuclear deal. Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari has said Iran is preparing for all-out war with the US and its allies, and has vowed Iran will continue advancing and testing its ballistic missile program. Speaking at a gathering of senior IRGC commanders in Tehran Tuesday, Jafari declared that the US “would not be able to do a damned thing” in the face of Iranian advances, according to official Tasnim news agency. “For years, we have been building power on the presumption of a widespread war with the US and its allies, and have developed all our capacities and capabilities for decisive victories over such enemies,” Jafari said. The top Iranian general also blasted neighboring Arab states for what he termed as “stupid behavior,” in opting to align with Israel and the United States against Iran. “Regimes like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and their peers are symbols of modern political underdevelopment, and the IRGC… has made preparations for response to their rudeness and stupid behavior, which stems from (their) reliance on the US power,” he stated. CHASER The Reuters article http://uk.reuters.com/article/us-usa...-idUKKCN0WQ1JF on the recently unsealed indictments of seven Iranians for hack attacks on United States financial institutions and infrastructure buries this gem: “U.S. officials largely completed the investigation more than a year ago, according to two sources familiar with the matter, but held off releasing the indictment so as to not jeopardize the landmark 2015 nuclear deal with Iran or a January prisoner swap.” Now that’s the spirit. |

Obama's ransom payment to Iran:
The U.S. and Iran entered into secret negotiations to secure the release of Americans imprisoned in Iran in November 2014. . .The discussions. . .initially focused solely on a formula whereby Iran would swap the Americans detained in Tehran for Iranian nationals held in U.S. jails. . . . But around Christmas, the discussions dovetailed with. . .the old arms deal. The Iranians were demanding the return of $400 million [and] also wanted billions of dollars as interest accrued since then. . . . A report by an Iranian news site close to the Revolutionary Guard, the Tasnim agency, said the cash arrived in Tehran’s Mehrabad airport on the same day the [hostages] departed. Revolutionary Guard commanders boasted at the time that the Americans had succumbed to Iranian pressure. “Taking this much money back was in return for the release of the American spies,” said Gen. Mohammad Reza Naghdi, commander of the Guard’s Basij militia, on state media. Since the cash shipment. . .the Revolutionary Guard has arrested two more Iranian-Americans. Tehran has also detained dual-nationals from France, Canada and the U.K. in recent months. . . . Friends and family of [one of the hostages] believe the Iranians are seeking to increase their leverage to force another prisoner exchange or cash payment in the final six months of the Obama administration. . .Iranian officials have demanded in recent weeks the U.S. return $2 billion in Iranian funds that were frozen in New York in 2009. The Supreme Court recently ruled that the money should be given to victims of Iranian-sponsored terror attacks. http://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-sent...eed-1470181874 Hooray for smart diplomacy! |

It's either nationalism now or hyper-nationalism later.
It's really up to the white female vote. Highly factored to how many of them prioritize the right to kill their babies.
