I can't believe a National League team would cave like that and give a defensive liability $16 million. I could understand $14 million for an AL team to DH him but $16 million is just foolish for the Giants
Snipe, Your right about Giants doing this it's just foolish,
he is a huge liability in the outfield sounds like something
the Yankees or BoSox would do.

I happy to see the Canes hire their Def. Cordinator Randy Shannon
as their new head football coach. Hopefully Shannon can turn around
this once historic football program and restore accountability and
discipline to the Canes like when Butch Davis was the coach.

As a Canes fan, I'd rather have a return to the old days. Miami football was at it's best when the guys were rough. I always think back to the day when we had 210 penalty yards........and still beat Texas 51-3 in the Cotton Bowl. Where's Jerome "U wanna go to war? We'll take u to war" Brown when u need him?

Since the Lakers traded Shaq for Lamar Odom:

Record in games with Kobe in the lineup:
85-80 .515

Record in games with Kobe not in the lineup:
9-21 .429

Obviously, he's a very valuable player. But is he the Lakers' most valuable?

Record in games with Odom in the lineup:
91-74 .552

Record in games with Odom not in the lineup:
3-18 .143

U tell me which is the more vital piece to the Lakers' success.

the Lakers will miss Odom..I shudder when I hear more responsibility will be heaped on Kobe, which means complete breakdown of teamplay!

Default Mike Websters' family Beats NFL in court

In a first of its' kind judgement,The family of Mike Webster of Steeler Fame won a judgement against the NFL on their discretionary use of lower pension payments. Webster should've gotten 16Gs inatead of 9 a month due to the damage he rec'd playing Ball. The reason this is important is that the sorry head of NFLPA(Upshaw) has been in bed with the NFL mgt for years and additional payments to deserving retirees would deplete the big bucks acct of the Players association. Upshaws' handling of Players' interest and welfare is deplorable!

My vote for "Backstabber of the Year" goes to one of Hollywoods' finest...B scale director Jamie Gold! Admits to the court that he did make a deal for half the prize money from WSOP to go to Bruce Leyser(who rounded up players to sport the Bodog Logo). They have him on tape sayin " your halfs good...just trust me" So, the lump of coal goes to mr. gold. What a sap
