it will never happen..they can throw as much money as they want..the bottom line is keeping ny racing ..the way it is or at least ny haveing a say in what gets done..from what i read the lame duck recomendations mean nothing...nyra will keep it as it should be ..maybee under a diffrent name but still nyra ..at the core .who have and allways will bring us the best product ..ill bet deep in the money backing of empire the dark lords of poly are spreading money around..in hopes of taking down anouther multi track venue...

Yeah thats just swell.
Sumitas, you need help buddy, real help.
You are following behind a group led by Bomze and Brida?
LOL!!!!
Thats gotta be the funniest thing I ever read or heard.
See how it works is, if they take the high road you want the low road.
Ah, but you'll figure that out soon enough.

I am not privy to what you allude to. Judging substantively on the proposals, Empire's is the most far reaching, clearly.

Read this and wake up and smell the coffee.
You are obviously under some sort of voodoo spell.
Please note the part where they failed to commit to not raising seat prices or boxes. Its the same thing as saying that they will. Enjoy!!!

Good article. Actually i like the NYRA model if they could adopt the Empire safety and improvement plan for the tracks.

Come on Sumitas, doesn't it just give you the warm and fuzzies?!!
The dreamy notion that saratoga could soon have tripled or quadrupled seat prices and liscenses!!! Boxes being sold for 50 grand with all the old patrons kicked out of them?!!!
OH!!! And the workouts that for so long have been free to all fans and the greatest joy in all of saratoga(even better than the races) now being charged for!!!! Even a fee for picnic tables!!!!!
6 dollar hot dogs, 5 dollar cokes, 8 dollar beers!!! It will be just like the Derby everyday, except for the great racing!!!
Allowances being left for the cheapest possible claiming races(split divisions of course) so as to save on purse money expenses!!!
Luxury boxes all over the infield, obstructing the view of the races!!!
I'm tellin ya, life will be a dream(sha boom sha boom)!!!
You just don't get it do you?
NYRA has given fans a free ride with their low costs to witness the greatest racing in the world. Had they gouged and gouged like their rivals, they could have stockpiled enough cash to have never had any worries. But as not for profit they didnt do that, because it made no sense to do so.
NYRA has consistently put on the greatest year round racing of any circuit.
NYRA has been progressive to players(especially under Schwartz) in lowering takeouts displaying that they understood what drives parimutuel wagering and keeping players in the game.
Where were these folks at Enpire before they thought they could their mitts on slot money?
WHy weren't they proposing great changes then? KNow why? Because there was no money in it for them, thats why. They only cared when they thought they could make a bundle.
As A NY breeder you are twice as sickening and display no comprehension of what NYRA has done to support both breeders and owners and the economy of New York State. A record number of NY bred races will be run this year, reaping millions in breeder and owner bonuses and inflating the value of farms and ny breds. This money DIRECTLY flows back into the economy of New York State.
Obviously you are "part of the team"!!! How wonderful for you!!! Do you have little hats and buttons also? They will be real collectors items in a few years.

Ahhhh. So you think these 2 groups, Empire and Exelsior, are trying to pull a fast one on NY racing.

Excelsior less so. Excelsior joined in the process late because they saw it as a viable business opportunity.
They certainly haven't littered the papers with nonsense and phony accusations. They certainly haven't portrayed themselves to be anything that they aren't, a group that wants to run racing and make money.
The members are certainly more qualified with strong business backgrounds and actual accomplishments in the businesses that they run.
But fans will suffer horribly if NYRA is removed, horribly.
Costs of everything will go up, racing quality will go down, and the very folks who were clamoring agaisnt NYRA the last few years will sadly realize that what they had was much better then what they will get if either gets the nod.
Any educated fan understands that NYRA will provide the best choice for a progressive racing climate in NY, and to not hurt the fans with the burden of what the other two will call "progress".

Pull a "fast one" on the N.Y. politicians, which see $$$ and can't think clearly.
