Balthazar King has been put away until the Grand National. He will no doubt run a place. I would rather see him win another cross-country during the Festival. Thought he would win the National last year, but there is always a light-weight that sneaks in there. |

Well not too much to discuss about his run (of course I love him to death and had already accepted that this whole never actually winning thing should be treated as a rather endearing quality at this point) but what about restarting the race? Thoughts?

As for the start, I thought the first go was good. Don't like standing starts and it adversely affected my play, Monetaire, who might have gotten up to win had he not been disadvantaged at the start. Oh well, that's racing. Still lots to look forward to. For me, I will be on Coneygree in the Gold Cup tomorrow and Balthazar King in the National next month. |

Thanks for that and yeah, a confidence builder couldn't hurt.
Good luck with Coneygree tomorrow. Rooting for Bobs Worth but am thinking of playing Road to Riches. I like Many Clouds and think he has a good chance as well but would assume the odds on him come down (not exactly sure who the 2nd favorite is behind Silviniaco Conti but I'd guess it will be him by tomorrow morning),so will take a chance with RTR. |
