That's how it used to be. Seems tho that asmussen served two separate sentences simultaneously a few years ago.

The CHRB and O'Neill entered into a stipulated agreement, under which the controversial trainer is suspended for 135 days—90 days of which are stayed—and placed on probation for 18 months for violation of a board decision May 24, 2012.

and why did they stay 90 days?! it's not as tho he's been clean as a whistle until now.
absolutely ridiculous.

I think its time to start suspending the whole team. If the trainer gets a vacation, since thats how they always treat it, everything continues as usual.
