I think a lot depends on what age you are when you get married and maturity.

I wouldn't be surprised if 75% of young married men (in their 20's) cheated or slipped up once.

I would expect men who marry in their 30's and older to be more ready for marriage and the commitment.. maybe more like 40% of them.

I doubt the percentage of serial cheaters is too too high.. maybe 15% cheat whenever they get the chance and are always looking for the next one.

Women would be opposite though.. I would guess 30-50% of women have cheated at some point.. but I would expect older women to cheat more than younger women.

People get used to the relationship, they have children.. settle into the family life.. only getting laid by their spouse a few times a year cause the "spark" is gone.. and when someone else showers them with affection, people do the wrong thing. Some couples are married for a LONG LONG time..


I'm all for open marraiges or relationships or whatever.. as long as both people are completely okay with it and it doesnt get out of control.
