I was thinking of all the to do about CC pitching on 3 days rest (as well as others over the years) and it made me think of Mickey Lolich in the '68 Series vs. The Cards.
He threw a complete game victory in Game 2. On three days rest, he threw a complete game victory in Game 5. On TWO days rest, he threw a complete game victory to beat the great Bob Gibson in Game 7, to win the Series. 3-0 record 27 innings pitched in 8 days 1.67 ERA
