I felt the same way about the pull on Daytona. Horse fighting jockey all down the backstretch. No wonder he backed out of it. Notice to jocks: IT DOESN'T WORK. Shoemaker knew that - dedicated deep-closer Cougar II (My Own True Love) got rank in a 10f turf stakes at Santa Anita and the Shoe let him run. Was 3 lengths in front first time under the wire and 6 in front the second time.
