Kobe is a streak shooter, always has been, always will be. When he is hot he can be unstoppable from just about anywhere. But he will throw a 10 for 28 at you, hence the 45% from the field. He is also not a great 3 point shooter. He is as was pointed out excellent from the line.

Lebron should be shooting over 50%. If he did not force his
jumper and then just flat out miss his jumper, He would be shooting
over 50%. If Lebron shot as many outside shots as Kobe he would
be shooting under 40%.
