hollypark and delmar seem to have made the transition with minimal difficulty.

i suppose we'll have to wait for the next storm to see how the santa anita track drains with the changes made. but it looks like opening day goes forward.

i'm not sure how one "tests" a track other than what has happened here. you install it. you find problems. you work to fix them. it isn't like racetracks are uniform. what works at one will need to be tweaked at another.

there will be issues with any change. i'm sure there will be more issues as the long meet progresses.

take a chill pill. wait for the meet to start. then pile on if it's warrented.
