Maybe, maybe not, but nothing happened in the Preakness or the Belmont to make me think Curlin is in a different zip code. In fact I would say to the contrary. Hard Spun did what he did in spite of two horrible rides. Well I think the Preakness was more of a training issue than a ride issue, but in the Belmont, Gomez was literally standing up the in the irons with a strangle hold on him all the way up the back side. Horse had no chance in either race. I'm interested to see how this race unfolds. But I would not be surprised at all if Hard Spun wins this convincingly, nor would I be surprised if Curlin did the same.
