I almost hate to get involved in this discussion.
When she was born I spent 5 days 24 hours a day in the barn bottle feeding her....the mare is NI positive so all of her foals have to be bottle fed until she is completely free of colostrum. I could walk in the barn and as soon as she heard my voice she would start hollering to be fed....we sold her as a yearling in Saratoga and thats the last time I put my hands on her... but this hurts. what makes it worse IMO is that she was entered in the KEE november sale, and the people who own her mother were planning to buy her (at almost any price), she withdrew before ever hitting the sales grounds....
