Unless they plan on using him as a middle relief pitcher they have not signifigantly upgraded their team. As ppdgn said in the above post he is a 6 inning pitcher at best now.
If he gets 20-22 starts, figure 130-140 innings. This is definitely an upgrade. How can it not be? And if they stumble into the playoffs, ....
