If you don't want saratoga to change, make sure you let your elected officials know that you support NYRA and will be one of the angry consituents looking to vote them out of office should they screw it up.

I plan on doing just that and have written to the Times Union already, pretty much saying what you have here.

Other than the meeting that Empire has stated they are holding, do you know of any other public fan-based meetings that are being held? Last week's Thoroughbred Times had an article about a fan based board that brings ideas to the track officials (I believe it was at Pimlico?) and that sounded like an excellent idea to me. In my view, and I understand it's not an easy job in managing them, but tracks are really missing out on the little things that will attract more patrons.
