It doesn't make him a stellar prospect but I'll take a stab at why someone might want to send a mare to him. 21 starts, he danced in graded company with horses like Curlin, Street Sense, Scat Daddy, Stormello and Hard Spun, got a G2 win... three reasons he's a better prospect than The Green Monkey right there. Another might be that his 3rd dam is half to Narrate who you might recognize as the dam of Preach and Yarn. I'm not sure if you'd call him a diamond in the rough by any stretch, but he's a semi-precious stone compared to some of those early-retired, little-accomplished individuals out there. Let's cut him some slack. The question isn't why you'd send a mare to him but whether he's worth $10,000. It's not a slam on Teuflesberg to focus on that, it's the kind of discussion all mare owners have.

At $10000 he is not grossly overpriced but his immediate female family is pretty soft and his sire line is still a little up in the air. He did run alot but was neither brilliant or really fast. I also dont know how much support he is going to get from home in regards to the commercial market.
