I'm stunned as to the odds on the two Kaplan horses (4 & 5), can someone explain this?

Tiago is way lower than I thought too. Scat Daddy the same odds as Curlin is a bit of a surprise.

6-1 on Curlin, you Curlin lovers should lock and load at those odds, but I think they may slide down today.

GL to all today.

Current on Pinnacle...

Storm in May: 94-1
Imawild' : 70-1

No clue on the action other than Bill Kaplan is a fairly wealthy guy and I assume the people who hang out with him are as well. Maybe a couple of them tossed some big wagers? Don't know.

NoBiz, at 12-1 might not be an underlay!

Hickory, I meant Underlay. I like NoBiz, was expecting him to take money, anywhere from 5 to 8 to 1. At 12-1, I think it's worth taking a shot with this horse breaking thru today. Thorograph's stated that out of the last 200 derby horses, only 7% have run new "tops" in the derby, including the last 2 winners. So your taking a chance with any horse who will need one to win, you need at least double digit odds!

I cant believe Hard Spun is getting pounded like this although any price looks good except Storm in May at 25-1... how in God's name. I thought this would be a 80-1. If you ran this race 1000 times I dont think this horse would win. There are some others like this also.

I will throw this in although off thread cause I dont want to start a new one:

My definition of rank: Consecrate.

I had 3 non-horse players today have me wager on the derby for them, and each one took the 5 horse (I'm a wild and crazy guy).
I assume that they think the name is cute, or funny or whatever, but that can only be the reason why that horse isn't 50-1 right now.

He's a grey. That's part of it. Some folks don't care about anything but picking a grey. I had my mom pick a number at random thinking it would help her since she likes greys and she's sure to end up with one of those with a better shot...what does she do? Picks #5.

An hour to post update on the oddest wagering in the history of the Derby:
Storm in May 24-1
Imawildandcrazyguy 25-1

Blue Grass winner Dominican 25-1

Thank you for that.

I was looking for a thread to post in regarding the fact that Storm in May is ONLY 24-1!

How on Earth does that happen? I love him more than anyone, but anything short of 75-1 on him is a HUGE underlay.
