Stepped outside this morning and stood on 6 inches of sleet/snow without sinking in. It's going to be a while before I leave home.

What was the impact in your area?

I got about 11 inches here in New Jersey. Been shoveling for two days. I think the change to sleet held down the totals.

We topped out at 16 inches here in CT. Thank goodness for a snowblower and a strong grandson to operate it. It's not going to be melting any time soon.

Only about 6 inches here in Little Rock. Still broke a 127 year old record. Interstate and main roads ok, but side roads in residential neighborhoods pretty treacherous. Temps supposed to get up to 42 today, but refreezing at night will keep things challenging for awhile. Be safe everyone.

I'm not sure I'll be able to get out of my driveway this week! We got so much heavy sleet and some freezing rain on top and everything is a solid sheet of ice over 6 inches of sleet. The temp last night was 12 degrees and we won't get above freezing this week. A rare winter in central Virginia.
