Saddened to hear of his passing today.
The 1996 Breeders Cup was my first, and the Classic hooked me forever.

I read of some "5 Star" system in an old issue of American Turf Monthly and it picked Alphabet Soup.
What a stretch run vs Cigar, Mt Sassafrass and Louis Quatorze.

I think he was around 20-1...I've been giving money back ever since
