![]() Prayers for Texas after the tragedy this weekend. Mother Nature is cruel sometimes and unpredictable.
Lone Star ran and there were winners but scratches late in the card threw everything in flux. 4 players made money and we had to go to the ROI to get a winner and a third place finisher. Cal gets the Lone Star win after scratches with an ROI of 70%. Cal hit a tri in race 5 good for a profit of $25.20. The scratch of Mor Victory in the 9th wiped out his other bets. Real Quiet's profit was a little higher but his ROI was only 34.6%. An exacta in race 1 netted him $105. NJS takes the show spot and Blunny takes the super slot with scratches again determining the actual finish. NJS only wagered $50 and had a straight winner in race 9. Blunny wagered $75 and had two straight winners in races 4 and 6. The ROI's were 30% and 23%. Congrats on the win Cal. Nicely played. This weird finish doesn't happen often let alone twice in one card but the contest is a return on investment and late scratches are no fault of the players. Following are the unofficial results pending a booth review. Scoring was difficult so please let me know if I missed anything or if you have any questions. It was nice playing Lone Star but I wished I could have viewed the races. I hope Texas gets their act together before they destroy a great year round racing state. Blunny and DonG, please work on it!
