Default Exciting news for Nick!! (Cup signups net Ballydoyle troika)

http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...olmore-runners

Multiple group I winners Treasure Beach and Canford Cliffs of Ireland and So You Think of New Zealand have been nominated to the Breeders’ Cup program through a special open enrollment program that closes June 30. Coolmore nominated all three horses at $25,000 each under the program, which was instituted during the first half of 2011 to increase the number of eligible horses participating in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

I'm thrilled. The more Aidan O'Brien trained horses running in this country the better. I'm making my avatar the Coolmore silks and will keep it until Aidan breaks his 0 for 2010-2011 streak.

In all seriousness, I think it's awesome that Canford Cliffs may come over. If Goldikova, Frankel, and Canford Cliffs are in the gate for the BC Mile it will be incredible.

Sounds like Aidan O'Brien is bringing a big gun (Cape Blanco) over next week for the Man O'War.

They've been wasting starts with him experimenting in Dubai and getting him back in distance in the Queen Anne, but with his Irish Derby and Champion wins and a couple finishes ahead of Workforce last year, he could be the one to stop the bleeding.

O'Brien already said the plan is Canford Cliffs to the Mile for a rematch with Goldikova

Who knows if it will stay true but he said that is the plan as of today
