Agreed, but a 5-horse race with a dominating fav is somewhat rare to start with.
Oaklawn also canceled show betting in Rachel Alexandra's 2009 Fantasy Stakes win. It didn't save them from a minus pool, however. They still had to cough up a pretty hefty minus pool payout ($190K) when Rachel accounted for 95.6% of the Place pool. That was when Oaklawn still had $2.20 min payouts, and possibly the reason they switched to $2.10 in 2010. --Dunbar
