Yes. I like Ron Paul's ideas on paper, especially when it comes to economics. He has some of the biggest names in economics backing him. My main concern is this country's financial state, and he seems to be the only one up there who knows what they're talking about. Plus, he'll bring the troops home from an unjust war.

The rest of the Republicans might as well be Democrats. At least the Dems are talking about bringing the troops home, but socialism just doesn't set well with me.

Mainly, I would be happy at this point if McCain and Clinton were kept out of office because I know that Ron Paul won't get elected.

And I know what the MSM calls most Ron Paul supporters. It's sad that people actually believe them. Of course, with any candidate you have your nut jobs...

Luckily, I don't really care what everyone else has to say about Ron Paul supporters...

Who do you support? <smirks>

The republican nominee since I'm in a state that isn't part of Super Tuesday.

Ron Paul.
The guy who on National Television about
a month ago said that Abe Lincoln screwed up
the country with the Civil War. Stated that slavery
would have ended eventually on its own.

If Ron Paul had his way, the US would be split into
North and South, independent of each other. And
private companies would supply all law enforcement.
Dig a little deeper and you find the guy is a nut.
I have been following this guy's antics since the early
80's since my Gov. professor pointed him out as an example
of how anyone could gain political office if
enough people were dropped on their heads
right after they were born. A ref. to his profession.

But then again, Adolph Hitler moved an entire
group of people under the proper conditions.
Ron Paul scares the crud out of me.

I hope you only like the ideas on paper.
No offense meant.

If 9/11 didn't happen, what would dubya's legacy be? What was he trying to accomplish? Social Security reform?..Gay bashing?..Unification?...um..ok..
I can't remember what platform he ran under to beat Gore in the first place.

His entire presidency is framed by 9/11 and the ramifications of his Irag revenge....budget blown..check, Halliburton flourishing..check, etc

The legacy will be an example
of a president trying to make his
branch of government stronger.
In brute force manner.

Don't you remember, man? Liar got elected because he claimed he was a uniter(not a divider.)Said he was the compassionate conservative.People bought that load.Soon as he got in he went to cutting taxes for the richest. Now,McCain is having to lie (in the opposite direction.)Bush was much more conservative(and way too stubborn to unite anything) than he portrayed himself, and McCain is much less conservative than he is portraying himself. Conservatives won the last lie,and moderates are gunna win with this lie.

Two presidents come to mind.

Both from the advanced state of
california. Richard Millhose Nixon and
Ronald Reagan. Take pride Scuds.

BTW. The most liberal candidate still in
the race is from South Carolina. You know, the State
with the Confederate flag...

So much for broad generalizations.

I said as a whole.You live in a state where the majority are dumb.Maybe the other 49% aren't dumb,but you're outnumbered.Compared to Reagan,GEEDUBBYA has the brain of a dog.Nixon wasn't dumb,but he was mentally ill(paranoid son bitch.)

yeah..."Uniter", Compassionate Conservative"..of course...how can I forget. Took so much shite for not liking him

funny...not sure what is more important..who I'm voting for, or how scared that I might lose. Fear drove me the last 12 years..50/50 record...Thankful that if Barack ( hopefule nominee) loses, then McCain won't be a disaster

who the hell would be his VP??
never thought about that

This is dumb.

From my small sample size:

I got two kids from California at
the semester break in Physics.
They got taught next to nothing
and are way behind. Good kids,
good families. But they dont know
Physics at all.

So I guess Californian's are dumb.
Or just uneducated. WTF are you
guys teaching your kids besides next
to nothing?

The city I live in on the whole is uneducated
because it is poor. If you have not figured out
the relationship between socio-economic status
and education... I dont know what to tell you.

I wish the following states(and portions of states) would unite to form their own conservative country of "NASCARTONIA." Just let them go(like that Iglesias guy finally did with that mole he had.)Gotta be a way to make that happen.

TEXAS,OKLAHOMA,ARKANSAS,LOUISIANA,MISSISS.,BAMA,.. ......both Carolinas,Georgia,Tenn.,and Northern Florida.

The platform was the "I hate the lying
Democrat that got his frog sucked by
his aide in the Oval office and was
able to lie in front of
the whole nation while looking straight
at the camera"

Think that about did it.

9/11 did change Bush's entire view of
the world. He also brought the Nation
the "no child left behind" which has been
pretty much a disaster. Not a bad idea
in theory.

Bush was extremely naive in putting all
his cronies into positions that actually
required competence. Lots of presidents
do this with minor positions, like ambassadors.
Bush did it with important positions.

Dick Cheney has had a huge effect on the
presidency. Probably will go down as one of
the most powerful VP's ever.

My wife has relatives in Penn.
that collect NASCAR cards.
They asked me who my favorite
driver was...

We had other folks over and we kinda
looked at them like what the hell.
So I said my favorite driver was
Willie Shoemaker.

Nah.
I dont believe the stuff about his Dad.
George the First stopped short of completely
overrunning Baghdad because he knew it
would create chaos. I think the people who
think GW planned 9/11 are completely and utterly
nuts.

We could have easily wiped out Saddam in
the first Gulf war.

No I really believe Bush thought Iraq was a threat
Biologically and from a Nuclear perspective. Then
when nothing was found, the "oh well, lets get rid
of Saddam and create a democracy" excuse was given.

No one seems to remember how scared everyone was
at the time. No one remembers how many times Iraq
was allowed to come clean and they did not. I did not
read one post or article anywhere that said the WMD
thing is a sham for going in at the time. Only after the
fact. The entire Congress got the report and they all
believed that Iraq had WMD's, some just did not want
to go in and take them out. No one disagreed about
taking the Taliban out of Afg. because they were harboring
Osama. That is all forgotten. BTW, we are still in Afg. and
it is also a mess. I still hear very little about how this little
foray was also illegitimate.

Everything is much clearer in hindsight. I remember too
much about what was said at the time from Democrats
and Republicans.

Hindsight...aka...second guessing does make it easier..agreed

my issue is with the rush to war after 9/11 and gdubs pushing of wmd

And no..the entire congress did NOT believe that Iraq had WMDs...and those that were on the fence trusted that gov from Texas and Colin, who trusted that guv from Texas, converted many of the remainders.

off topic..I saw that dubya had an 84% rating after 9/11 and a 34% rating today. I'll admit that I was a basher before and a basher after..please, someone who loved him after 9/11 and is not with him now please explain because to me he's the same evil man

Ron Paul is a joke. I am a Republican but if Ron Paul got the nomination I would have to vote for Hillary. Ron Paul was on the Tonight Show a few weeks ago. He said that the US is partially to blame for 9/11 because of our foreign policy. I nearly fell out of my chair.
But when you consider some of the things he has said in the past, it's really not that surprising. He is amazingly dishonest. As you are aware, he said a ton of outlandish things in his newsletter and now he has the nerve to say that he didn't know what was in his own newsletter and didn't write it. How could he think that people would be dumb enough to believe that he didn't know or approve what was in his own newsletter? In his newsletter, he speculated that the Mossad may have been behind the first attack on the World Trade Center. He would actaully be better off if he claimed that his views have changed, rather than deny that he knew what was in his newsletter. It would be more believable for him to simply say that he has changed his mind about some of the things that he said in the past.

Anyway, I don't need to tell you about Ron Paul. I know that you live in Texas and know all about him. And I have always respected your opinion because you are not a partisan. I actually do agree with Ron Paul on some issues, but he is so far out there on some things that I couldn't vote for him if he was the last guy on earth.
