With the massive caveat that I'm no expert in calculating figures, I'm a little curious about the difference between these two numbers.

Only one mile Poly races came back to back to back in R7-R9.

R7: Bold Kitten, Purple Violet: 1:37.54
R8: Wealth Management, $12,500 MCL: 1:39.89 off fractions that don't seem out of the ordinary for the day.
R9: Reigning Catfish, Springfield: 1:37.76

It was raining on and off around this time, mostly lightly, with heavier rains coming in the minutes leading up to post time for the Springfield, but is that basically saying the track sped up *that* much in that hour that the 1/5 of a second difference in their times produced a 16 point difference?

Just throwing it out there for anyone who would be more knowledgeable on the subject (doesn't take much!) or had any opinions.
