Default 99/1 shot wins at AQU

Cutting back from a mile into a sprint race without a lot of pace on paper, the ultra aggressive riding tactics managed to get #6 a loose early lead...and those two factors (and a track that appears kind to inside-speed) seemed to cause a great miraculous form reversal.

It can be frustrating all of the times we see a horse who has no rival willing to apply any pace pressure while free to enjoy a loose lead, and instead of just sitting chilly and letting the horse have that free ride on the lead ... you get a jockey who wants to engage in a wrestling match with the horse to try and slow the pace down ... and in doing so, bringing the horse back to a spot where another horse in the field is breathing down his neck.

This was the extreme opposite of that situation. The winner was in an all-out drive from the moment the gate opened -- and wisely -- the other riders ignored the horse -- nothing is dumber than going head-to-head with a 100/1 shot whose rider is hell bent on the lead.
