Probably about three minutes. He ran off, with Jose on him, after the post parade, and was so out of control that he made an entire loop around the track. The Stewards chose to scratch him. Sure seemed like the right call for everyone involved.

Definitely, I wasn't questioning the decision. He is obviously head strong during his races, my point was he could get hooked early.

I know. I was just clarifying the situation. He's too headstrong for his own good. Maybe he will win, he's very talented, but horses like that are poor bets at short prices.

That was a very tough beat...not too happy with the ride I suppose.

yesterday was great, hoping today is better
i like marshal plan, everyone likes marshal plan, but the type of race that Mr Crow ran is an indication he might be really good. I think the race was solid and given he may sneak up in price I am more than willing to bet him in a bit of a head to head with the 2. Its been a decade since I bet a lukas horse but the 4 in the 5th ran a very strong race first out and if they let him drift up I will take a shot with him. i will not take a shot with browse as she is surely going to be overbet in what is a pretty tough field. Stella Rose is probably the horse I play but there are many options for prices here. 1 does have a pace advantage and i think the inner with the rails out is a huge help in the 2 year old race I am all 1 or 6 in this spot. Lady Eli was pretty awesome in her last and I dont like Antonoe going further, its a normal bet for me, speed horses stretching out (like Infinite Wisdom yesterday) and bet against closers stretching out.

surfaces sure all seems to be telling you to be close. 2 main track races inside wires...and I hated the 1 in the 4th.

Totally agree. Plus the Pletcher horse was 2 bad to be true after chasing wide.

I could do without Rosie's "insights" on air anytime soon.

After reviewing the race, the figures and watching the replays I am not going all in on Takaful. The win was really good but a few things.
There was several talented lightly raced speed horses in the field. Was going to be a fast pace right. What happed is there was two really fast horses, and once Takaful outbroke the the other real speed, combined with some really passive riders, a slow pace developed. So Takaful sets a slow pace, on what I believe was a good rail, and draws off to win for fun. The other speeds basically were none runners once he outgunned them, and the closers had little shot with the pace and track. He is talented but favorite for the Kings Bishop, hard for me to take off that setup today.
