Default ROI Results 2/10 @ Tampa Bay

We ventured to Tampa Bay on Saturday for a very competitive Sam Davis race but that's where
it ended. The big ugly was Life Talk who finished last and derailed a few bets. Nakatomi also
failed to fire and down the drain wagers on him went. It was Ruffian's Destiny to save the day
and make sure we had a least one winner. Destiny Star was Ruff's winner in the 6th race and
the $18.20 win price gave her a profit of $264 and an easy win. It also gave Ruffianna a Florida
repeat ROI win and a chance at a three peat this coming Saturday. Congrats on the win Lady
Cat. Nicely played. Before I tabulated these results I had to contact Ruff about a possible DQ.
Ever since I've played in this contest with her Ruff has explicitly stated 12-1 was her absolute
mininum morning line cutoff so when I saw Destiny Star was 10-1 I had to make sure Ruff
didn't pick the wrong horse. She indeed wagered on a 10-1 horse so that now opens her up
to a few more winners. I didn't think a zebra could change it's stripes but she also let me know
that she would not be picking any more cat horses, she will avoid greys and roans's and if she
could do it over she would bet Zenyatta to show at 1-5. You see what happens when all you
players don't pick enough winners I have to make stuff up! Anyway here are the unofficial
results pending any player not named Travis Kelce bullrushing me and screaming that I made
a mistake. And in closing, no Ruffian, you don't get any bonus points for the Ruff's beating
the Fluff's in the Puppy Bowl. That result gave my Draft King's account a major hit. I had the
Fluff's plus 2.5

WIN... Ruffian... +$264.00... R 6 #2 = $40 Win $18.20 X 20... $364.00

Zippy -$74.40 R3 $2exbx 2-4-6-7... $25.60

Cal828 -$91.40 R10 $2 Win 5... $8.60

Real Quiet -$99.00

Indian Hemp -$99.00

Joly B -$100.00

Cruzan -$100.00

NJ Stinks -$100.00

Digger -$100.00

Congrats on your insightful ROI win Ruff. RQ, kudos on a superb writeup, even better than your usual excellent commentary.

I'm sitting here watching the snow storm gradually come to an end and contemplating whether it is now time to go out and clear the 9 or 10 inch accumulation from the driveway. I'm getting too old for this stuff and am hoping for an early spring. My only consolation is that tomorrow, in addition to being Valentine's Day, is also the official day when baseball fans hear that wonderful phrase, " Pitchers and catchers report!" Can spring be far behind?

I feel your pain Joly. Here in Jersey I only had to shovel a few inches of snow and by now it's mostly gone off the roads and sidewalks. So far it's been tolerable this winter. With spring training almost here as a Pirate fan I have about 6 weeks of hope before the season starts and my hopes get dashed in the first week.

Was it Sarah Vaughn that sang "what a difference a day makes?" Yesterday rain, cold and blustery. I needed to go to town for groceries, return books to the library, get a few other odds and ends, but couldn't get up the gumption so stayed at home and went today and so glad I did. Almost 60 degrees today, but Imagine the cold will return soon. Seems to wait for the weekend. Folks at Oaklawn probably none too happy about that.

Congrats on the win Ruff one. I think that is what? Number three in a months time. Seems like you are adding the multiple win dimension to your bag o' tricks.

Some one just threw a turkey on the dart board.
RUF just did, ROI that is.
DON got some bonus thinking to do.

And even more to compute, if she hits again this weekend. Don's abacus will certainly be smoking and maybe even burst into flames. But I think she will have to be Nostradamus' mother to hit the ever elusive fourpeat.

Default Ruffian there's a lot of points in store for you in the Bonus category

Bonus Points:
In addition to the points you can get in the Points and ROI Contests, there are bonus points. If you Sweep the Points and ROI (win them both on the same card) you receive a bonus of 20 points. Back-to-back Points or ROI wins receive a bonus of 20 points. A Points or ROI three-peat receives a bonus of 30 points. A Four-Peat or more in the Points or ROI Contests receives a 30 point bonus. At the end of each month, the handicapper that totals the most ROI winnings for that month will receive a 10 point bonus added to their Points and ROI totals.
