Street Boss may be the ML fav but if Fab Strike & Lute run the public will be betting those huge Beyers in their PP's. You can book it.

I wanna say that Ken McPeek trained Tiger Hunt, or possibly Ralph Nicks. He was definitely a Team Valor horse (in fact I think Nicks had him as a 3yo when he was brought on as private trainer).

Zito had the race surrounded with Eurosilver and Birdstone, but ran neither.

Of course, as brash as that sounds, nothing beats the passing of the race by Ruler's Court, who just 14 days early lit up the Santa Anita stretch in the Norfolk, running off by 13 lengths and getting a big speed figure.

By all accounts, the horse was fine and it was just a pig-headed move by his connections, but you have to wonder if something was amiss, considering that the horse didn't make his next start until two years later.

When I was thinking about it, I was on the fence. Yes, I specifically remember he was a Team Valor horse. I don't think I remember McPeek though. If you are sure, than I'll accept it. I remember Walden had horses for them pre-his leaving training, and pre-Nicks becoming their private trainer. OTOH, I am not sure if Walden would have taken the route the colt did -- but regardless, I don't remember so I'll do nothing more than confuse myself. I am sure someone will remember clearly.

Regarding Zito's colts, and Baffert's -- I agree 1000%.

Thanks.

Eric

Ruler's Court was one of Harty's I believe, not Baffert's.
