Hollywood History on ATR
Steve,
I just want to thank you so much for the Hollypark history celebration on ATR this week and last. It's just been fabulous, and I've enjoyed every minute of it! There nothing else I can say. One thing I thought about just this afternoon......is there any chance at all of getting Chris McCarron on in the next couple of days? He's another that I'm sure would be a fascinating listen on the subject. Thanks again so much!

So glad you're enjoying. It's been great fun for me. More to come yet including farrier Ben Craft (ties to Swaps), jockey Jerry Lambert (Native Diver/Convenience), Bob Baffert, video librarian Kip Hannon, more. Have reached out for McCarron and seem to be missing. Confident we'll get to him.

Thanks Steve! And even if you can't hook up with CJ, it won't take away from the triumph that you are authoring here. We all hate the reason for it, but you are making it infinitely easier to take!

A personal note...What the program is managing to do, and by no fault of your own, is create an even more profound sadness with this closure. I've been to Hollywood approximately 2 dozen times. It grew on me. Obviously didn't have the cache of SA or DM, but it was what it was. Kind of like an ethnic restaurant, in any downtown area, that has seen better days but stays open 15 years longer than it should. The food is still as good as when you were a kid, and the second or third generation is now there running the place. A city track with a storied past. The Friday nights were awesome!
